Are DJs Artists in their Own Right?

Are DJs also artists? That is a tough issue. Sure, DJ’s need some talent, but is that enough to make DJs an artist? A DJ mix set’s important feature is the trip it’s offering its listeners. A DJ could mix sets of songs on the radio or studio that brings listeners on a journey just as effective, though it’s easier because most of the mixing sets are designed to respond to the listener.
